Heading Towards Sydney
05.03.2013 - 05.03.2013
25 °C
Tuesday 5th
On departure we found that the rear indicator on the van had died – again. Headed south towards Newcastle and the sights along the way. Good divided highway in good condition (mostly) for most of the journey. We stopped in Bulahdelah for morning tea and fuel. A pleasant little town with road construction evident.
Turned off towards Newcastle on the lookout for an automotive electrician but they were very hard to find. Eventually Mary suggested phoning NRMA as we were RACQ Ultimate members, and, after a lengthy wait, a technician arrived. A very pleasant chap also with a 4WD and a caravan! A fellow-nomad in waiting. Found the fault and we soon headed back to the Pacific Highway and headed south again (after a northbound diversion!) and soon arrived at Ourimbah (north of Gosford) for our overnight.
A small location surrounded by bush-clad hills filled with a non-stop melody of bellbirds until dark. Then the frogs started their all-night songfest!
