Tuesday 5th & Wednesday 6th
The weather pattern looks like the rainy season may be taking shape, and the rather misnamed ‘Sunshine’ Coast was very often subject to rain so we made plans to get the chores out of the way as soon as possible. As it turned out we had mostly sunny days but with quite breezy conditions in which to air everything out inside the van.
Mary spent a lot of time and energy cleaning out the cupboards, one by one, and packing some of the stuff into containers for removal when we arrived home. My chores seemed to be being the ‘gopher’ as the ute and van exterior couldn’t be dealt with until we reached home. The park had a ban on car and van washing because of the increasing drought conditions. (Over 62% of Queensland was now drought declared by the State Government).
Of course we had to get more plastic stuff for the cupboards as the old stuff was considered the wrong colour and showed signs of aging, wear and tear! Finally a Crazy Clark shop, now morphed into a Sam’s Warehouse produced the (hopefully) last roll of the stuff.
We managed to fit in a visit to the Noosa cinema complex and saw Tom Hanks in Captain Phillips, and excellent movie with a good outcome. The seating at this cinema was superior to many big city cinemas and most comfortable however the film development ensured that dozing off was not an option!
